There isn’t much better than getting to document your own sister’s drop dead gorgeous wedding. Getting to play a special part in one of the most important days of her life is just beyond words! Being mom and dad of the ring bearer, matron of honor, photographers, and helping to put together a wedding can definitely make for one hectic day, but we can’t think of anything we’d rather have the honor of doing. It was an absolutely perfect day, and watching these two pledge their lives to each other was something we will always cherish. Hannah organized and styled a simply stunning wedding, and it was a joy to witness and photograph.
Even though we may be slightly partial, these two really do have a pretty fabulous love story. They went to high school together, were really good friends, went to a few dances together, and then that was the end of the story- so most of us thought at least! They kept in touch and remained friends, but since Jon was away in the Air Force no one really knew the feelings they had for each other. But those feelings never ended despite all of the time and distance apart, and eventually Hannah made a trip to Korea just to visit. We all knew that there was no other guy on earth Hannah would have done that for, and from the way Jon responded to her being there with him we could tell the feeling was more than mutual. The rest was history. Jon was transferred to Hawaii, and after a trip to visit him there Hannah finally came home with a ring on her finger. This time we weren’t so surprised :D Their love for each other was pretty evident to everyone who truly knew them and we could tell the wedding wasn’t too far behind!!
It’s been a very short time from proposal to marriage to moving away to Hawaii, and it’s been insanely bittersweet. Not having our sister/daughter/aunt right down the road is going to be hard, but knowing that she’s with the love of her life in one of the most beautiful places in the world makes it all a whole lot easier. Thank God for FaceTime :D
Hannah and Jon, we love you two beyond words and are so thankful that we were a part of your day! We’re so happy for you both and can’t wait for our turn for a trip to Hawaii to visit ;)
