Ok, so we know we’re both overly emotional and cry and practically every wedding we photograph, but this one was too much! We pretty much cried through the entire ceremony. We kept looking at each other and just shaking our heads at how we couldn’t hold ourselves together, but I mean how precious are these two! From the bridesmaids singing worship music as they walked down the aisle, to their handwritten vows (and Emily’s incredibly poetic writing), to their purity ring and rose exchange, it was just all so absolutely beautiful. Plus since they’re very close to the ages that we were when we got married, it was all too familiar and just brought so many wonderful emotions along with it :) We love that they included the verse “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity” throughout their wedding, because it was so perfect for the two of them, and was and is such an important verse to us as well. They are definitely a wonderful example of it :)
The whole day was spent at the “Hayloft” which was literally that, an adorable second story hayloft above a barn! It was so rustic and incredibly cozy. Plus they had the whole place decorated in blues and yellows, so there was a wonderful summertime, bohemian vibe to everything :) The ceremony was held right outside beneath a beautiful arch of sunflowers, and then afterwards we all headed inside the loft to celebrate the reception! Emily’s vision for the day was pretty much brought to life entirely by her mom. She created the floral arrangements, decorations, hair pieces, and the unique barefoot shoes that all of the girls wore! Emily’s were even made from her the sleeves from her mom’s wedding dress! How special is that!? So many of the details from the day were sweet and sentimental. Not only Emily’s shoes, but her bouquet also included pieces of her mother’s wedding dress and the pearls that her grandmother wore at her wedding! She also had dreamcatchers in her hair that were dedicated to her aunt. Did we mention this whole day we were an emotional wreck!? In the best way though :)
Emily and Kyler, we LOVED being a part of your day! It was so sweet and so familiar, and all we can pray is that your love young married life as much as we have!
