Emily and Chris had a little bit of a panic moment the week (and mainly day!!) before their wedding. One of the craziest blizzards in quite a while was supposed to hit over the wedding weekend, and they were so worried it would ruin everything! And even though it did come and coated everything in layers of ice and snow, these two weren’t going to let that stop them from having the best wedding possible!! So they put on their snow boots and made it work! The results were some STUNNING snowy portraits and a fantastic story to tell their future kids :)
The snow was the perfect accent for their classic, Victorian inspired red and white wedding. When we saw Emily and her sister’s red and white dresses and bouquets silhouetted by the snowy ground and trees, we knew this was going to be a wedding to remember! So beautiful! The sweet little church where the ceremony was held also made for some lovely shots. Around sunset, we headed out to the front of the church and were able to use the wonderful stone exterior as a backdrop to the newly Mr. And Mrs. Chandler :) Though it was incredibly cold, the newlyweds hardly flinched, and were such troopers through all of the portraits! They even braved holding the freezing snow in their hands to capture a picture that Emily really wanted! Luckily it turned out beautifully and she said the pain was well worth it :)
Emily and Chris, you guys were fantastic and we’re so honored to have been able to capture this beautiful, wintry day for you all! We hope that Cancun was fantastic and pray that the rest of your lives together is even more wonderful!
