This is Craig’s stunning cousin Ali, and we were so excited when she asked us to take some portraits to celebrate her college graduation! She will be receiving her bachelors degree in May, and so this was the perfect time to set up a portrait session with her :) While she is technically Craig’s cousin, we always say that they are more like siblings because Ali, her twin sister Sam, and Craig spent most of their childhood together. But with her moving a few hours away for college, we haven’t been able to see her quite as much, so being able to document this exciting and special time in her life was so wonderful and we just had a blast hanging out with her! When we first started the session she told us that she was really nervous, but we have no clue why! Just look at how fantastic she looks! She is truly a beautiful person inside and out and it was a privilege to get to work with her :)
Though it ended up working out pretty great, we really had to fight the weather for this session! We took the indoor portraits in our home studio in Hopkinsville, but it rained most of the day so we weren’t able to take any outdoor portraits that day! So we waited until the next day, though most of the morning it was still extremely rainy and overcast. Thankfully we got a little break from the rain in the afternoon, and it held off longer than the radar had predicted! It was very appreciated little miracle, and we had plenty of time to take the rest of Ali’s portraits! We went to some really cool locations too! We headed to an old, abandoned warehouse that was painted some really cool red and blue colors, and we were able to use lots of downtown Cadiz’s unique walls and buildings. Thankfully Ali really trusted our strange knack for using old, beat up walls and buildings, and we think the results were gorgeous :)
Ali, we’re so proud of you and all of your accomplishments! You are clearly a dedicated, and intelligent person, and we’re so excited to see what God’s plans are for you in the future! We love you!
