We couldn’t have really asked for a more awesome couple to work with! Kayla and Alex are fun, hilarious, so respectful and so completely in love. Plus they were so laid back the entire day which made everything so much easier on everyone! No one was stressing about when to be where, or worrying about little details; everyone was just enjoying the moment and focusing on the fact that these two were becoming husband and wife today! Besides the fact that these two were absolutely awesome, they chose a pretty great wedding party as well! Not only were they all so supportive and excited for the happy couple, but they were a blast to work with! With all of their unique personalities and great sense of humor, we had a hard time focusing on taking pictures because we were laughing so hard!
Another thing that made Kayla and Alex so great to us was their strong love for God. It’s not often that we want to stop during the middle of a ceremony and just listen to the awesome words being said. It was so Christ centered, with even their love for one another coming second to their love for Him. The first thing they did as husband and wife (even before the kiss!! :)) was take communion together to remember God’s love for them before anything else. All of this combined with the officiant sharing some adorable words that Kayla and Alex had said about one another made it one of the best ceremonies we’ve had the pleasure of being a part of!
After the ceremony we headed to the beautiful Sugar Grove Carriage House for their reception! It was a fun evening filled with delicious comfort food, amazing cake, and even a coffee bar where guests could pick their drink and have it made for them right there! We definitely took advantage of that ;) Lastly, Kayla and Alex said goodbye as all of their guests lined a pathway with paper lanterns in hand! Then they drove away as the lanterns drifted off into the night sky. It was a fantastic ending to a pretty perfect day!
Kayla and Alex, we have truly enjoyed working with you all and your wonderful friends and family! We’re sad that it’s all over, but so excited for you guys as you start your new lives together! Once you all come back here, we’re definitely hanging out :) We wish you guys all the best!
